Starbot was a bot for the kaboom server written in JavaScript using BotKit.
It follows a rolling release cycle with frequent resets in the name of performance, security, or other changes TFTWPhoenix getting bored.
The Starbot prefix used to be '\' before it became '$' and then was rather recently changed to 'sb!'
Starbot has had a few opensource versions namely V4, OpenStarbot, and LibreStarbot but the main project remains closed source.
Starbot used to feature a lock command however that has since been removed. Instead of a typical integer permission system Starbot now uses permission nodes such as general.help.
The developer of Starbot is TFTWPhoenix however Starbot has taken inspiration from many other bots such as HBot and RecycleBot.
